Our assistants are the wind beneath our wings here at SBS, so come meet them!  Nick Naveda is the assistant to Stoopid Buddy Stoodios co-owners and Robot Chicken co-creators Matthew Senreich and Seth Green.  Molly Flick is the assistant to Stoopid Buddy Stoodios co-owners and executive producers of Robot Chicken, John Harvatine IV and Eric Towner!  Come take a read to see what their day-to-day is like!

How did you end up at Stoopid Buddy Stoodios?

N: Well, I started as a pesky intern back in February of 2012, working in production and becoming very well acquainted with our copy room.  After interning on the DC Comics Special and season six of Robot Chicken, I decided Stoopid Buddy would be a great place to seek employment.  The position to be Matt and Seth’s assistant popped up and I interviewed for it.  After a few weeks of ritualistic hazing, I got the job!  The three of us have been happily in love ever since.

M: An Australian woman named Sofia escaped to England. I took her place as New Sofia. Harv and Towner still don’t notice the difference.

What is your day-to-day like assisting the guys?

N: The main focus of my job is scheduling.  I make sure the guys get from point A to point B without a hitch, among a bazillion other things.  It can be quite hectic at times and I’ve definitely become about 89% more skittish since I started working for them.  And I’ve lost a good fifteen pounds.  JK, they’re the nicest dudes in the world and it’s seriously a dream boat job, even through the hectic times.

M: What Nick said. I’ve also started to grow a beard…to blend in maybe?

What’s your favorite part about the job?

N:  I work with a bunch of great artists at a studio that’s constantly fostering unique and hilarious projects — what’s not to like?  Oh, and the Arcade Room is pretty sweet, too.  We have a lone massage chair that sits in the corner just beyond Space Invaders and Street Fighter 2.  I don’t care how creepy I look — I love sitting in that thing.

M: My desk is next to the Arcade Room. I see Nick in there sometimes and it’s pretty creepy.  Also, I LOVE MY JOB!

Volcano or Dante’s Peak?

N: Oh, Dante’s Peak!  Totally!  Pierce Brosnan DRIVES THROUGH LAVA!

M: Volcano because of the one I built in that science fair one time was pretty cool.
